THE LAST TREE
The ice has all melted and the poles have gone! One day the last tree will be left standing proud out of the water. The last tree in a world of water. The ice is melting. The central element of the picture is an old twisted tree, in full leaf, with it’s single purple fruit hanging on a low branch. Next to the tree stands a purple bird, penguin like, looking in anticipation at the juicy ripe fruit. The tree is rooted to the rocky island surrounded by submerged rocks covered in seaweed and lichen, whilst fish swim in the surrounding cold water. The image sits on a piece of washed out marbled paper in blues, greens, browns, reds and purples…
