SEA DEFENCE SUNSET
An almost abstract composition, the sunset is reflected on the warm concrete of the sea defence wall and steps, at the southern end of Burnham-on-Sea, where the River Parrot joins the Bristol Channel, opposite the sailing club. My Grandparents lived just along from here, in the late nineteen seventies and eighties. In the early evening the legendary ‘Concorde’ could be seen high in the setting sky, like a glowing orange, pink dart. If the wind was in the right direction we could often hear the distant boom of this majestic plane breaking the sound barrier… WOW!
